I miss the hell out of my dad, we didn’t agree on everything, but he was my hero. He was born and raised in West Texas, he graduated from Abilene Christian University where he walked on the football team as a freshman and would later become a full scholarship team captain. He loved football, golf, reading, fishing, cigarettes (a true Texan) and watching FOX News, particularly The O’Reilly Factor.
It was interesting to me that he never spied on the enemy, he never watched MSNBC, ever, ever, ever. “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer” did not apply. This is what people do! People watch what they like, people are interested in what they enjoy and what they believe in.
